The photo is of Bret Dean and not Simon Bainbridge! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.168.29.141 (talk) 14:07, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was not of the correct Simon Bainbridge back in 2015, that's true. But it was not Brett Dean either. Anyhow the correct image is in the article now. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 14:07, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Spirogyra

[edit]

I can't find any song called 'Spirogyra' written by Simon Bainbridge. Not in discogs, not in 45cat, not in repertoire.bmi.com ? 2001:56A:FA85:3800:80AA:59D2:4294:4315 (talk) 19:03, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a song, it's for instrumental ensemble. First performed in this 1971 concert at Aldeburgh. It later became one of Bainbridge's Three Pieces for Chamber Ensembles, premiered in 1983. --94.197.152.246 (talk) 10:38, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You can also find it on YouTube here. --94.197.152.246 (talk) 13:17, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I made two edits to the "External links" section. One was to replace the obsolete link to Chester Novello with a working link to Wise Music Classical, which took over Chester Novello. The other was to the UYMP link: I didn't change the URL but expanded the text to make it clear where the link went. Both my edits were almost immediately reverted without explanation, and the editor sent me a talk page message accusing me of non-constructive editing. I asked why they thought my edits were not constructive, and received no reply, even though I can see the editor has since been active editing other pages. I'm going to make the changes again, because I believe they are constructive, but if I have made a mistake I hope someone will have the courtesy to explain what I have done wrong rather than just sending passive-aggressive messages making unjustified accusations. --94.197.152.246 (talk) 15:21, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
