This page was a ridiculous piece of astroturfing. It was clearly copy and pasted from a marketing press release. I did my best to remove the offending statements and leave only objective comments. Removed: "an artist-friendly, gesture-based user interface, which is so fast and intuitive. It represents the next generation of digital drawing that focuses on the user, translating technology into a natural drawing experience." "It was described as literally the digital interpretation of the classic sketchbook." "It's prefect for brainstorming sessions." "Autodesk SketchBook Pro has a very small footprint, compared to other packages. The UI is streamlined, using marking menus to house tools, and provides a large workspace without the clutter of editors and other windows." Link to Macupdate, which is unaffiliated with Alias Sketchbook, and meant solely to drive hits.

Modified: "Because it makes use of the pressure-sensitivity features of Wacom Tablets and Tablet PCs, artists can sketch naturally and create effects similar to traditional materials."

iPhone

[edit]

"Because it makes use of the pressure-sensitivity features of Wacom tablets, tablet PCs, and iPhones..."

Technically, the iPhone doesn't have any pressure sensitivity. The iPhone version of SketchBook mimics pressure sensitivity through some other approach (size of the touched area, perhaps?).

Perhaps it's the amount of time the pen/finger is in one position that acts as the pressure sensitivity.----

Merge with SketchBook Express

[edit]

I suggest a merge between this article and SketchBook Express because I think the difference between the two articles is too insignificant to motivate having two separate articles. —Kri (talk) 17:13, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
