2nd Pennsylvania?

According to general Stahel's report after the fight, as quoted verbatim in Mosby's memoirs, the Union cavalry belonged to 1st Vermont Cavalry, which is also stated in the WP article about that regiment. Luke (talk) 16:01, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Was it the 43rd?

Hi, this article indicates that this skirmish took place in April 1863. If I understand correctly, Mosby's 43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion was not organized until June of that year. If these were Mosby's "raiders", what company were they operating under? He was granted a command in January that year, so it is unclear who exactly took part in this raid? Maybe someone that is more well versed in this conflict has a better understanding here? Thank you Nayyn (talk) 09:41, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
