I am starting this Talk page as I could be considered a good slave to help the Skykomish River stub get expanded. I am a happy WP user, but this is my first attempt at contributing. Not only do I enjoy fishing the Sky, but I am a local geologist, and guy that has been involved in watershed analysis, but not in this basin.

With that I sign off-

South Fork

[edit]

According to official WA legal system, the south fork of the Skykomish river extends east of Skykomish, Washington to at least where it meets the Beckler River. The article currently states that it is 1.5 miles west of Skykomish. -- RM 15:27, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vimy Falls

[edit]
This is Vimy Falls NOT Deer Falls.

I took this image out because it is not of Deer Falls as I thought. It looks like Deer, but it's not. Bryan Swan confirmed that with me. It's called "Vimy Falls" & it's on the upper reaches of the North Fork. Its coordinates are 47°57′59″N 121°11′42″W / 47.96639°N 121.19500°W / 47.96639; -121.19500. I'm not sure why or how anyone got out there in the middle of no-where but they did.

Anyway, I'm just making note of this. :) AndrewEnns (talk) 05:58, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"...the South Fork's true source, in terms of streamflow, is the Rapid River, a tributary of the Beckler River, which in turn is a tributary of the South Fork Skykomish."

This line from the intro seems confusing. Is the South Fork ultimately its own true source? Perhaps I'm misreading. Anyway, it might be nice to clarify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.165.106 (talk) 22:01, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
