{ { move|Midwest Connect } }[edit]

I agree with the comment below; the article should remain under the "Skyway Airlines" name. The name of the corporation is "Skyway Airlines, Inc.", the FAA certificate is issued in the name of "Skyway Airlines", and the airline designation of "Skyway Airlines" is recognized both by the United Nations International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transportation Association (IATA). Skyway Airlines, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Midwest Air Group, which also owns Midwest Airlines.

"Midwest Connect" is a trade name as a regional feeder to Midwest Airlines. In the past, Skyway Airlines has also investigated opportunities to provide regional service to other major airlines, to which the "Midwest Connect" trade name would not apply. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.82.9.76 (talkcontribs) 22:26, 12 April 2006 (UTC-8)

The move makes no sense in that the article refers to Skyway Airlines more often than Midwest Connect. I'm not saying the move definitely shouldn't occur, but I am saying that right now, it makes no sense to move it.

Please clarify the situation on Wikipedia:Requested moves - see the Clarification section near the bottom of the page, where this request is now listed. Rob Church Talk 01:42, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Once the rename is done, I plan on rewording to reflect the correct names. To fix it under the current name would make it very confusing. It appears that there was some blending of a company name with airline names. Skyway does exist as a division of Midwest Air Group, but I'm not sure that the company needs it's own article like the airline. It took a while to figure this out from reading several web sites. The company name is actually Skyway Airlines d/b/a Midwest Connect. The brand name is Midwest Connect —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.210.128.251 (talkcontribs) 16:01, 23 December 2005 (UTC-8)

Midwest Connect[edit]

Since the Midwest Connect name will soon be used by SkyWest operated flights as well [1], I've changed that article into a stub to cover the brand, distinct from Skyway itself, rather than being a redirect to this article. I've modeled it on the beginning of the Continental Express article. It needs to be expanded, but it's getting late... ;) -- Hawaiian717 07:16, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
