Brain Slices for ease of access by the electrode[edit]

The article states that the technique allows greater experimental control- which is true but the primary reason slicing is done is because it is extremely difficult to have electrophysiological recordings from single neurons via an electrode from a specific brain region when the brain is intact.

I think the above reason should be stated as the primary reason along with the greater experimental control in terms of application of drugs for affecting the neuronal properties while recording. PranaliParadigm (talk) 07:42, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
