Television

[edit]

Does anyone know the extent of television coverage of this league? Is there anywhere I can watch whole games on the internet? Ffda (talk) 21:08, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page move?

[edit]

Should this be renamed and moved to "Prva Liga Telekom Slovenije"? That's what the Slovenian Wikipedia calls it and, in quotes, the phrase gets about 17,000 google hits ([1]), whereas "PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije" gets just under 500 ([2]), the first two of which are the English Wikipedia. I don't really know enough about the language or the league to do the move myself. --Loudsox 19:25, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding the club pages

[edit]

I wish someone would expand the club pages a bit. FC Koper is the standard here, with good information including current lineups, etc. But ND Gorica, league champions the past three seasons, have a really bare bones entry. If I could access the Slovenian Wikipedia, I could help. How do I find it? --Jmcnally 23:19, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Slovenian Wikipedia page for the league. --Loudsox 23:32, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but it's not much better, is it? I added the logo for the new league, but I'm not sure where it should be. Should it be centred? How do I do that? Also, the external link to the league's official site is now dead. I'm not sure if there is a new site yet, but I found the logo on the site of the sponsor, here: http://www.telekom.si/podjetje/promocijske_dejavnosti/prva_liga/

It's not really an official site, though.

Jmcnally 02:59, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the logo to the right of the page to be consistant with what seems to be the general trend on wikipedia. --Loudsox 17:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Template

[edit]

Someone needs to update the template to reflect the upcoming 2006-2007 season. There have been changes due to promotion/relegation and a new sponsor. I'm not sure how to do that but each of the ten teams participating in the new season will need to have the new template applied. Jmcnally 03:41, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can edit the template directly here: {{Liga Simobil Vodafone}} if you know the nature of the changes (and want to). I know how to edit templates, but I don't know anything about the league. So if you need help changing things around with the template (or just want to tell me the changes and let me edit myself), just let me know. :) --Loudsox 17:29, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, I updated it. Could you review the new template and tell me if all is correct: {{PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije}}? --Loudsox 19:53, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, that looks great! Now if we could just get all the team jerseys and rosters, etc. I'm working on it! Thanks again for your help! Jmcnally 04:16, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rosters

[edit]

Found this great site: http://www.eufo.de/football/football.htm which appears to have thousands of up-to-date rosters. How authoritative is it? I'd like to use it to update the Slovenian teams on Wikipedia Jmcnally 05:09, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:FC-Koper Capodistria.png

[edit]

Image:FC-Koper Capodistria.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Wrong name

[edit]

This page has wrong name. Go to www.prvaliga.si and look at the webpage's name, it clearly says "PLTS - Prva liga Telekom Slovenija". Slovenian name of the league is "Prva liga" (with small l), used in all slovenian media, not PrvaLiga. Where did you get that, which reliable sources use that name? The logo has PRVALIGA written together and in capital letters for whatever commercial purposes, you cannot use that as a name. 31.15.225.128 (talk) 16:22, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article name should not have "Prva liga", but "Prva Liga" or "PrvaLiga" due to English stylizations (see Serbian SuperLiga – official name of that league is Superliga Srbije) – I suggest that the page is moved to Slovenian First Football League, similar as Croatian First Football League. Snowflake91 (talk) 17:16, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you. I am not suggesting that the name of the article should be Prva liga, but only that the correct slovenian name "Prva liga Telekom Slovenije" should be mentioned in the article. The title should be Slovenian First League or something like that. 31.15.225.128 (talk) 22:16, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
