Dfass, I will leave the article alone for at least a week. But in the meantime leave the sections. Look at the general material that I started to add at the top about dates and editors. I want to have a general article on the topic of "smaller midrashim" with a link or or merge with "later midrashim." Current literature, does not use the term smaller midrashim in the same sense of just what was edited by Jellinek. There are other works involved and with connections to "larger late midrashim" like Yalkut Shimoni and other late works. Also, some show how they are still connected to Second temple times, others consider it a form of medieval legends, others as medieval mussar literary works. The given 12 works would therefore have differnt links to differnt "see also" --Jayrav 15:05, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. I will leave the headings and your intro, but otherwise continue my plan of "offshoring" the content to individual articles for each midrash. It sounds like you know much more about this area than do I, so I'll be interested to see what you decide to do with it! —Dfass 16:41, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

other small midrashim: sources

[edit]

The first line reads "Agadat Mashiaḥ (Haggadah of the Messiah; ib. iii. 141 et seq.)." to what does this "ib." refer? Does it mean that it's in Beit HaMidrash (mentioned in the introductory paragraph to that section) or does that mean Avraham of Vilna's work (last cited text in the previoous section)?
