I moved the page. Smile (A Dental Drama) is the name of the webcomic. The graphic novel does not include the subtitle. Einbierbitte (talk) 21:48, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Summary

[edit]

Would the summary edited by unknown user be considered as unnecessary? There are many "flaws". 99.35.232.141 (talk) 01:30, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ordinarily, but this book won the Boston Globe – Horn Book Award Honor, the first time a graphic novel won this award. Also it was nominated for an Eisner Award. Einbierbitte (talk) 19:35, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I cleaned it up, got rid of the elementary school vandalism, and added categories Einbierbitte (talk) 22:37, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on name

[edit]

Is "comic book" really the best term for what the book is? I mean, the other two books in the series are both regarded as graphic nove;s, but I don't know. Wondered what everyone's thoughts on this were. Sincerely, TheCartoonEditor. talk to me? see what i've done 20:35, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Education assignment: ENGL 273 - Children's Literature

[edit]

This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 13 January 2022 and 14 May 2022. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): S.obadia (article contribs).

In the next few weeks, I am planning to edit this article. My primary goal will be to create new sections on this page and add new well-cited content to each section. I plan on making a “Summary” section, a “Development” section, a “Genre” section, a “Style” section, and an “Analysis” section that will discuss the pedagogical impacts of this book in elementary and middle grade classrooms. I also plan to update the “Reception” section with more recent sources. These changes will bring this page more into line with Wikipedia’s criteria for a strong article by making the coverage of the article more balanced and creating a clear structure for the page. I will make the lead section more thorough using information from factual sources I found so that it meets Wikipedia’s criteria for a lead section that provides a comprehensible overview of the page’s topic. All the new content I plan to add will be supported by reliable sources, which I have already compiled in the Wikipedia dashboard sandbox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:S.obadia/Smile_(comic_book)/Bibliography). Finally, I am planning on changing the name of the article to Smile (graphic novel) to better match the way the book is discussed in academic literature.
