Pronunciation

Well, I've drunk a fair few pints of the stuff in various parts of Ireland, but have never heard it pronounced /ˈsmɪθɪks/, /ˈsmɪtɪks/, /ˈsmɪdɪks/, OR /ˈsmɛθɪks/ as currently claimed in the article here (and why anyone would want to say it as /ˈsmɪlɪks/ is beyond me! – where's the l in Smithwicks?) I've always said, and heard others say, /ˈsmɪðɪks/ – with a /ð/ as in thee, not a /θ/ as in three or a /t/ as in tree (although some people's /ð/ is indeed very close to a /d/). -- Picapica (talk) 21:01, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
