I hope I am not breaking any rules. I know little about Wikipedia but a bunch about Smugglers' Notch. I didn't want to get in and edit since I don't know the code. I also hope I am putting my feedback in the right place. If I haven't please forgive me.

Things I notice about this article. All Smugglers' Notch references should have the ' after the s. The Smuggling wasn't at request of the president it was in violation of the embargo which was signed by the president. Goods were smuggled through the notch but not "down the long trail" -which wasn't built until the early 1900's. The CCC provided jobs all across the country not just for men of New England - reword suggested. There are 20 not 18 campsites. The sterling pond trail begins near the top of the notch 3.2 miles from the campground.

I hope this information is helpful for all this volunteer work the people behind wikipedia do.

Thanks for your notes on this article. The s' mistakes are just that, mistakes. I will take a look and fix them. The setence says that the smuggling began as a result of a request to stop trade. I will rework this sentence to clear it up. I will look at the Long Trail information. The sentence about the CCC is intentional. I know that it was national, but I am sure that most of the fellas working at Smugglers' Notch were from New England or thereabouts. I will make the changes to the campsite and the trail. Thanks again. Dincher (talk) 00:03, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
