Please discuss disputed issues on this page.

A drawn-out edit war is underway at present.

On one side, user 24.185.8.78 has been repeatedly characterizing the SSPV as not Catholic and its members as not Catholic priests.

Other users (including the undersigned) have used other wording to indicate that SSPV is not connected to the Holy See or to the worldwide Catholic Church.

I invite user 24.185.8.78 to discuss the issue here. --Bistropha (talk) 05:33, 18 June 2013 (UTC) '== Please discuss disputed issues on this page. ==

Méndez ordinatons "public?"

The article states the two 1990 ordinations by Bishop Méndez were "public" and the issue of the Roman Catholic on the passing of Méndez states that "about four dozen people" were present at the ordinations.

However, an article by Fr Cekada notes that the ordinations were "secret" and that Bishop Méndez himself subsequently denied involvement.

In addition, in December 1991 it's clear that the identity of Méndez as the consecrating bishop is still not widely known as Bishop Pivarunas makes clear (at the end of this video leading into beginning of this video).

So, I'd not call these ordination "public", I've not updated article as I don't have original documents e.g. the letter referred to by Fr Cekada of Bishop Méndez denying involvement in the ordinations.

1962 missal revisions

Can someone recommend a book or article about revisions of the missal and general liturgical texts in the last century? maybe going back to Pope St Pius X and his revision of the Liturgy of the Hours? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 19:01, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
