I've proposed this article for full deletion, but it might remain as a stub, giving limits of lab values and perhaps referencing the articles hyponatremia and hypernatremia for the physiological effects of lab values out of bounds. Note there is no serum potassium article, but only two articles on hypokalemia and hyperkalemia. SBHarris 05:47, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cation or Anion?

[edit]

Under the section called "Function of sodium ions", second paragraph, this is written: "Sodium is the primary cation (positive ion) in extracellular fluids in animals and humans."

This is mistaken, since a cation is a negative ion, so it should be either "cation (negative ion), or anion (positive ion)! If i knew which I would have made the change myself.

As for the proposed article deletion, please don't! What is wrong with you deleters? 4.255.47.48 (talk) 17:17, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
