I don't believe the Stub classification (above) is useful but Find a Grave is the only source we have acknowledged previously.

  • I added [ref name=truscott] for a New York Times bridge column published a few days after his death. It begins with five paragraphs on Venizelos as a bridge player generally, prior to the presentation and discussion of a single deal--the usual material of a bridge column, abbreviated. (No link. The NYT online public archive begins 1981 or so.)
  • Venizelos is in the US Library of Congress catalogue[1] as co-author of one 1933 bridge book. Note that LC gives birthdate 5 November 1894, not 3 November.
  • "Sophoklēs Eleutheriou Venizelou, 2009: p. 15" is the birthdate source that LC cites. I suppose that is a biography published in 2009, what language?

New York Times daily(?) coverage of the "mythical world championship" contract bridge match in New York City runs 12–24 December 1935, as the play of 300 deals began 12th and ended 23rd. There are some earlier and later articles during December, at least. I will return to this when I have time to read. Unfortunately the NYT online public archive begins 1981 or so. ... That is, 1923–1980 articles are available only at $3.95 each, as i understand it [2]. Search is available free of charge but there is no obvious search string.
When I return to this I will look for another page where we should or reasonably may cover this match. --P64 (talk) 23:32, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
