Michael Hoexter[edit]

I've redlinked Michael Hoexter in the article, if he's worth citing in the lead he's an article candidate. At present no other article links to him however.

See

http://www.global-isp.org/michael-hoexter/

for a possible source and

https://terraverde.wordpress.com/about/

for an apparent self-description.

The article is largely the work of one editor but they're a long-established contributor on other topics and two other old hands have since contributed here so I don't think COI is likely. Andrewa (talk) 17:18, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Climate change denial which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 11:18, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This article has much bigger problems than whether to put a hyphen in the title but I'll make the case for alternative proposal elsewhere, or later, or both. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk)

The result of this discussion was to merge. Chidgk1 (talk) 15:38, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I propose to merge this article to psychology of climate change denial. I don't think that a stand-alone article on soft climate change denial is warranted (I had never heard of this term until today). Its pageviews are very very low. The article is written more like a literature review or essay so some work would be needed to filter out the good content for merging. Pinging User:Chidgk1 and User:RCraig09. Pinging the person who created this article into the discussion, User:Blz_2049, in case they no longer have it on their watchlist. EMsmile (talk) 20:53, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support In general, it's good to reduce the number of separate articles. This is a relatively young article (2019+), almost entirely authored by a single editor, Blz 2049. Also, the entire long section "Factors that contribute to soft climate denial" is based on only two references. Good to merge out of separate existence. —RCraig09 (talk) 22:19, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree and would add that the source given for that long bullet point list in "Factors that contribute to soft climate denial" is not really a reliable source but just a blog post: https://neweconomicperspectives.org/2016/10/pocket-handbook-soft-climate-denial.html . It should be radically shortened. EMsmile (talk) 20:59, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support This is just a condescending opinion piece. KIWF Greglocock (talk) 01:22, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
