External vs. Internal[edit]

There's also the entire subject of internal and external beta testing. External is no longer used widely in non-MMORPG games because, well, external beta-testers tend to find more bugs, slowing development down. JAF1970 (talk) 15:59, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Certifications[edit]

Seems that there should be a section on certifications. Many companies like the reassurance of knowing that their hires are certified. Critics say that buying a piece of paper doesn't give any info about whether someone will be good at software testing. Also, there are many different companies offering certification and no real standard. Lots more could be written... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.199.144.30 (talk) 08:52, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Food and Drug Administration[edit]

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the reference to the FDA in the lede is the result of vandalism. I would change it, but I don't know what it was before and can't see where the change happened in the history. 198.204.141.208 (talk) 20:53, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Testing is not a controversial activity that provokes discussion what is this? 2A00:F41:B06A:F89E:0:5D:2BC6:4401 (talk) 09:12, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

David Bowerdt Testing Theory[edit]

It is worth to mention the David Bowerdt's theory of software testing that claims that every ostrich in a computer software is an unstable entity. 2A00:F41:B06A:F89E:0:5D:2BC6:4401 (talk) 09:15, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That is a very good point. Every software tester should remember this rule. 2A00:F41:B06A:F89E:0:5D:2BC6:4401 (talk) 09:17, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
