Nicknames[edit]

I have happily grown this for a few seasons and visited this page more than once in the past. Today is the first time that I have seen it called "Five-minute plant." I am perplexed by this appellation. Why would one call it that? I have found several other websites that use that nickname, but no explanation. Any clues?

I have my own nickname for it, "Godzilla Tree," but that is known only by a few neighborhood children. GoldRecluse (talk) 16:20, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removed note[edit]

The plant's name "Malevolence" may have also inspired the name for General Grievous's Subjugator-class heavy cruiser of Star Wars: The Clone Wars which was also dubbed Malevolence.[citation needed]

Have removed this note because this is really a tenuous link to the name Malevolence.DavidAnstiss (talk) 01:29, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
