Solarpunk is more than just a literary and artistic movement[edit]

Solarpunk is more than just a literary and artistic movement, it is a lifestyle, clothing fashion style and most importantly a technopolitical manifesto for future human living. Solarpunk is about the here and now, as much as it is about an imagined future. --Dr zoidberg590 (talk) 20:22, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Competing Drafts[edit]

Anomic99 (talk) 00:59, 31 May 2019 (UTC) Hi RoySmith. This is a different draft, mine is linked here.[reply]

So, we've got two competing drafts on the same topic. We're not really set up for that. Perhaps the two of you could talk and figure out which one you want to get reviewed? -- RoySmith (talk) 01:03, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The other draft was already declined due to the conflict. It seems to have some good material in it, though is perhaps over-long and over-detailed. I'd encourage users to selectively merge well-sourced content from that draft into this article. Hugsyrup 15:36, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Already deleted article. Uh..[edit]

WTF. This article already went through deletion, for good reason which seems to be repeated in the creation here... uhhhmm.... did it go through the Request for Undeletion process? Doesn't look like it.. Centerone (talk) 20:40, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be under the misapprehension that a page, once deleted, cannot be recreated without going through RFU. This is simply not correct. There is no value in going through RFU unless an editor wants the old content back to work on, which I presume was not the case here. If you believe that this article is identical to the old one, you can nominate it under CSD G4, otherwise if you believe it merits deletion you can nominate it at AFD and the new article can be assessed on its merits. Hugsyrup 12:37, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Can we at least get the talk page restored? Because the same issues still apply, and the content was valuable. Really don't want to have to have all that repeated again. Centerone (talk) 05:01, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Resources to be added[edit]

Hi, I am Aless and this is the first comment I post on Wikipedia. I don't know anything about coding.

If anybody is able to do it, I believe: 1. A link to The Rebublic of Bees blog post should be added: https://republicofthebees.wordpress.com/2008/05/27/from-steampunk-to-solarpunk/ 2. On Appropedia the sustainable wiki, there is an extensive entrance with lots of links and references about solarpunk https://www.appropedia.org/Solarpunk 3. There should be a reference to Solarpunk: Notes Towards a Manifesto https://hieroglyph.asu.edu/2014/09/solarpunk-notes-toward-a-manifesto/ 4. There should be a reference to Solarpunk: A Reference Guide https://medium.com/solarpunks/solarpunk-a-reference-guide-8bcf18871965 5. On this Tumblr post there is a very extensive list of Solarpunk fiction https://advocateforearth.tumblr.com/post/186138673366/an-introduction-to-solarpunk

5. There should be a reference to A Solarpunk Manifesto, by The Solarpunk Community http://www.re-des.org/a-solarpunk-manifesto/

Thanks a lot!

I'm surprised that no one has made the connection to Biophilic Design...

or Permaculture... 2601:343:C202:CD30:51BE:BC6A:B374:315D (talk) 16:48, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Permaculture:

Dispute: Is there any evidence for the notability of the solarpunk flag image used?[edit]

I cannot find any evidence online for the notability of the solarpunk flag image used - its only prominence seems to be that it was uploaded to Wikicommons and used in this Wikipedia article. It otherwise would be virtually unknown. There are other solarpunk flag images online created by other artists - why should this particular flag and its artist get the publicity of being included in the Wikipedia page for Solarpunk? Zhanli2012 (talk) 14:57, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removed as unsourced. While "notability" might not be the right criterion here, certainly there should be some independent reliable sources linking the flag to the article subject. - Ryk72 talk 07:14, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming game grabbing the title[edit]

Saw this on Steams Gamescon feature: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1805110/Solarpunk/

I'd say Lightyear Frontier also qualifies, though perhaps less derivative than ^^ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1677110/Lightyear_Frontier/ 2A02:2121:2C3:2172:BC98:C013:8B0:CA5D (talk) 22:29, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
