Castle/Palace[edit]

Since the article says that it's not a castle at all but a palace, and it's not a defensive structure, and the architecture doesn't try to imitate a castle, I vote for moving the article to Solitude Palace.--Sitacuisses (talk) 15:01, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Understand your concern, but consider palaces in the UK like Castle Howard. As Solitude Castle now seems to be the established norm I would suggest it remains as is. See also the Stuttgart official site, which, though not necessarily a jewel of English literature, uses "castle" more than palace. Maybe change it to "Castle Solitude"? At the Schloss Solitude official website here, the English-language version refers to Schloss Solitude as Solitude Palace, so the article should probably be changed to that name, if others agree. -- Blairall (talk) 05:17, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
