I didn't know anything about Solomon Ayllon before reading this article, and after readng it, I still don't, because it is written in such a way that I don't believe a word of it. When something is so obviously a hatchet job, it undermines its own credibility. We need some independent input.SamuelTheGhost (talk) 15:18, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 22:28, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What's the point of issuing thanks to nobody? This is based solely on the Jewish Encyclopedia article, which is biassed against Ayllon to a comical extent. In May 2007 Charles Matthews copied it over. Since then only trivial tweaks have been made. Nobody has ever even made independent use of the references, some of which are still easily available. Leaving the NPOV tag at least makes clear that we recognise how bad it is. SamuelTheGhost (talk) 12:04, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
