I actually came here looking for the 1925/1931 OUP hymnal by the same name. I suppose it would be too much to ask for both. ;-) --Haruo 05:55, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Longevity[edit]

Quote: it is believed to be [...] the longest-running religious television programme in the world

  1. Not true as the programme is based upon Dechrau Canu, Dechrau Canmol which began earlier and is still running.
  2. In any case Le Jour du Seigneur has been transmitted weekly since 1949..!

Sometimes Wikipedia editors respond quickly, sometimes not so quickly. I have changed the claim to "one of the longest-running". Verbcatcher (talk) 23:27, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a better source and possibly UNDUE[edit]

I have removed

The family of murder victim Billy Barclay criticised the programme for allowing his killer Garry Brotherston to appear on the show. On the programme, Brotherston said that he had "found God" while serving 11 years for Barclay's murder, and has now released an album.[1]

from the article. The Daily Record is a completely inappropriate source for content about a living person. In addition, it seems the only source to have covered the incident which would appear to be giving it UNDUE weight. If someone can provide an appropriate source, the community can have a discussion about whether the incident is important within the history of the show.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:17, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Second sentence of article[edit]

The second sentence of this article saying "Since 2016 it has been presented by BBC breakfast frontman Bill Turnbull" is misleading. The programme is and continues to be presented by a variety of presenters, including Aled Jones, Pam Rhodes, Josie d'Arby and Sally Magnusson. Vorbee (talk) 16:03, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Timing of broadcast[edit]

The article says, in the section sub-titled format, that the programme is usually broadcast between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on a Sunday. It could mention that it is sometimes broadcast out of this time slot, owing to broadcasts of sports activities or other one-off broadcasts. Vorbee (talk) 16:55, 2 August 2018 (UTC) It is now more commonly broadcast at one fifteen p.m., but there may be variations of this if sports programmes are being broadcast.
