Sophie or Blanchard[edit]

It seems really clumsy to me that while her husband was alive, Sophie Blanchard is referred to as "Blanchard" mostly, but after his death she is called "Sophie", her first name. Is there a reason for this? MathewTownsend (talk) 22:40, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Balloon Riots[edit]

As far as I can tell, there was only ever 1 riot, the Leicester balloon riot in 1864. The source page for the only mention of balloon riots (plural) is a podcast. If there are any other balloon riots we should probably have a source for that. If not, it may be wise to link to the Leicester balloon riot. 168.166.55.11 (talk) 21:07, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
