The article says that:

Company Buyout On March 21, 2008, Sophocles was purchased by a third party.[2]

However, this strictly speaking may or may not be true.

I believe this statement violates the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NOR, as it's not verifiable.

We don't know what happened at all per the reference [2]. The rest of the statement

By late April 2008, its website was shutdown, and Tim Sheehan, the software's creator, could not be reached for comment.

is accurate as far as I know.

This is very frustrating of course, due to the DRM nature of the software.

The link leads to a post by Roland Straud, an admin, where he stated: "The most recent activity of the company that we know of is that someone purchased Sophocles on March 21." I appreciate your quest for accuracy, and if you have any better source, please refute it, but this is all I had to go on when I asked if the article should be reopened in light of the rumors I heard. Well, it's possible that we finally found out what happened, although I don't know if this Tim Sheehan is the same or not as the owner/inventor of Sophocles.

it states he passed away.

Website no longer active[edit]
