Trademark?

[edit]

SOUNDFIELD is a trademark claimed by TSL Professional Products Ltd. (who have recently acquired SoundField Inc.). This trademark is not properly acknowledged on this and related pages AFAICS. How do we handle this?

A related question: should this page be renamed more generically (such as "tetrahedral microphone") and then list the SoundField as one example? --Nettings (talk) 12:52, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Historically, these have been called soundfield mics (lowercase 's') and I see no need to change this. For acknowledgment of trademarks, please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks. (Basically, it is acknowledged simply by using an uppercase 'S', although SoundField include an uppercase 'F' as well.) HairyWombat 00:18, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
