I am sure that the first phrase "Sourav Chatterjee is one of the major probabilists of the current decade" is correct. Not at all exaggerated. In fact, I wrote such phrases in some official letters. Of course, my opinion is not a reliable source, I understand. But please do not delete the article in hurry. We should find reliable sources. I'll try to. Well, I did. Boris Tsirelson (talk) 13:58, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think, it is not the question whether sentences such as the one discussed above is exaggerated or not. The questions is, whether it can be backed up by sources. Considering that many other excellent probabilists of our time do not have such strong statements in their Wikipedia biography and are more "humbe" (c.f. Persi Diaconis and Charles Stein, to name the obvious ones in this context), I strongly suggest to keep things more factual in this article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.6.25.206 (talkcontribs) 23:48, 22 January 2010
