Intro paragraph[edit]

I noticed that the intro paragraph seems to contradict the articles title. The title is "South Carolina College Cadets" but the intro states that they were from the citadel. My understanding of the history is that these cadets were from South Carolina college which would latter become the university of South Carolina. This seems to be backed up by the text of the article like where it talks about the governor holding them in columbia and not letting them go to Charleston, if they were from the citadel then they would already be in Charleston. There might be some confusion as cadets from the citadel fired the opening shots on fort Sumter. I am going to see if I can find a source to confirm this if I do I will correct the article though I am tempted to do so now as there is no source for the claim that they came from the citadel. I edited some of the content to make it less contradictory with the title. It turned out that an updated edition of one of the already cited books had confirmation the unit was formed by SCC students. I used that as the reference and also updated the edition in the reference list. The article still could use some work however; as I said earlier I noticed that the template and the aforementioned correction made it sound like the subject was from the citadel but the title, content, and info box at the bottom where referencing SCC (currently the university of south carolina). Maybe there needs to be two articles but it is pretty clear the south carolina college cadets were from south carolina college. Kevdev59 (talk) 21:38, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
