Disambiguation[edit]

Perhaps there should be a page to disambiguate between the South Wales Police itself and the South Wales Police Rugby team? List of police stations[edit]

The list of police stations appears to be outdated. The South Wales Police website only lists eight stations.

Barry
Bridgend
Cardiff Bay
Cardiff Central
Merthyr Tydfil
Neath
Pontypridd
Swansea

This may only be the stations that have a front desk that is open the the public. Some stations that formerly had front desks may be still used by the police as office space, but should we classify these as police stations? I propose to limit the list to these eight stations. Hello all, Much of the content was quite out of date, some of it from 2014. I've refreshed it to add more current information.

I'd like to add some sections on current organisation of the force, departments and specialist units etc, but am struggling for sources. The force website is quite sparse, does anyone have any sources we could use?

Nice work, keep it up! I would look at both of the local Police & Crime Commissioner and HMICFRS websites. The former will have the annual statements, the latter will have inspections. Both are a good reliable third party sources. As for pictures, the best place is flickr and just hope someone has published under a compatible licence (select "Commercial use & modification allowed"). Search for "south wales police" and my guess is you'll get nothing but Australian pictures, so be more precise like "cardiff police" or "merthyr police".

A few style points b.t.w. Don't forget that <ref> always goes immediately after punctuation with no space. I would avoid reference names like ":0" as these are the ones typically generated by bots. Give it is sensible short name (without quotes) such as officerrole. There's no need to do a redirect to include punctuation as you did with University of South Wales. You removed some citation needed tags in the infobox, updated the figures, but didn't provide a citation - you need to do that or leave the content as is / or delete it. --10mmsocket (talk) 16:31, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

w.r.t. Images, you should also go through all the existing images in Wikimedia Commons and put them into the commons category [[Category:South Wales Police]].
