Um, the text on this page appears to be a lift, almost word for word from: http://www.ggrm.org/about_the_museum/steams/southernpacific.htm

That's probably not good. Note that the GGRM got its start beacuse of this loco so some sort of article probably makes sense and there is info elsewhere on the site that might be good to incorporate as well. I haven't put {{copyvio}} on the article in hopes someone maybe can fix it up. ++Lar: t/c 06:31, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're right. I've done a quick and dirty rewrite which lost most of the content... alas, what are ya gonna do? It was a copyvio, plain and simple. I found this via newpages, trains are not something I know a lot about. --W.marsh 07:04, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • I am a train guy so I'll see what I can do. Steam is not my thing, I prefer modern diesels and intermodal gear, but this is a loco with some historic significance... I probably should have just slashed it myself, but I have a tendency to check for consensus... maybe more than is congruent with WP:BOLD... ++Lar: t/c 14:35, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

copyvio got reinserted

[edit]

I reverted it and left a message on the user's talk page. ++Lar: t/c 23:15, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

:and reinserted again. I took it to WP:ANI for advice, where it was suggested it be reverted again. ++Lar: t/c 00:11, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

no, this time it's not word for word (although clearly from the same text, it has been rewritten). So I reverted my revert to put it back. ++Lar: t/c 00:46, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
