Re: speedy deletion - I do not see a rationale for speedy deletion under the current guidelines; subject office complex is notable for housing the largest employer in the City of Calgary. Still looking for a creditable reference to cite. That's understandable, so long as you can provide sources. However, at this point I don't see the notability of an office park, regardless of it's employment pool. Tenants
Progress on the LRT Pedestrian Bridge Happy to advise you that the pedestrian bridge from the Southland Park LRT Station to our site is on schedule and we still have a late November completion planned. This weekend will be a an interesting and critical advancement with the project.
On Saturday a 500 ton crane will be set up to lift the 70,000 lb bridge from the top of the pedestrian walk way at the LRT Station to our site.
The City of Calgary as well as CP Rail have co-coordinated a shut down of power to LRT and suspension of railway traffic for the 2 hour time frame while the lift occurs. The truss is on site and is set to be installed at starting at 2:00 AM on Sunday Sept. 27th.
The completion of this pedestrian bridge will be the final component of development at Southland Park which started in 1978.
