Move? Delete?

[edit]

I declined a move request to Under 16s, because there are no sources to show what they were called. In the absence of such sources, should we even have this article? Fences&Windows 16:45, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Well, there are sources detailing their participation in the FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets (Now known as the FIBA U16 European Championship). They won the competition on three occasions. I'm not sure why deleting it is proposed. When you say "there are no sources to show what they were called" are you referring to individual players or do you mean a specific title given to the team that includes the age limit? Soviet Union men's national under-17 basketball teamSoviet Union men's national under-16 basketball team – I would like to rename this article because the Soviet team has never played tournaments under the age of 17 (the Under-17 World Cup has only been played since 2010). Support: From the title and title renames of FIBA U16 European Championship (while there are moves, the "under 16" aspect is there from the creation of the article), it looks like this is indeed the case.
Additional information: It looks like this request is caused by this declined CSD. Someone may ping Fences and windows (this link does not ping) if they wish to. ~ Aselestecharge-paritytime 13:15, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
