It's necessary to change the aerial photo, it looks similar to Spangdahlem Air Base, but it's definitely not Spangdahlem Air Base, it seems to be Hahn AB. Compare in Google Maps! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.0.53.214 (talk) 21:27, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

52nd TFW, The only F-4 Wild Weasel outfit outside America?

[edit]

What about the 3rd TFW, that used to be based at clark AB, in the Philippines? They were a Wild Weasel outfit too. Cat Balou 05:47, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When Mount Pinatubo erupted in June 1991, Clark AB was pretty much destroyed. The 3d TFS, which flew the F-4Gs there was moved to Eielson AFB Alaska where it ran the Cope Thunder program with some Hueys.

The F-4Gs they flew at Clark went to the boneyard. User:bwmoll3 13:14, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New entry, 14 Jan 2001: Sorry, but the aerial photo is not of Spangdahlem AB. I don't know what's pictured, but it's not the lovely 'Spangladesh' where I served for three years. There are many differences - what caught my eye was that the munitions area is in the wrong place and has a totally different layout and number of storage igloos. The munitions/weapons storage area was on the SE side of the base, next to the town of Binsfeld. Between the munitions area and the hardened aircraft shelters was the golf course, which wrapped around the end of the runway. The picture presented has none of those features, which can be verified by looking up the area photo on Mapquest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlassiter (talkcontribs) 03:14, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't Spangdahlem home of the 52nd Operations Wing, not 52rd Fighter Wing?Royalcourtier (talk) 05:40, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
