"Spanische Windtorte" does not actually exist

[edit]

This article appears to be a fraud. There is no such dessert as a "Spanische Windtorte", or at least its history seems to have been completely invented. I can not find any references to this dessert prior to 2015, which is when that episode of "The Great British Bake Off" aired. All the references cited on this page ultimately refer back to the TV show. Tellingly, I can not find a single reference in German about this cake. As an Austrian, I have also never ever heard of it, and I cannot find it in any Austrian recipe book. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.110.92.236 (talk) 07:52, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Someone found a reference from 1816 so guess this is good to go now :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.95.7.131 (talk) 18:55, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
