Cleanup needed

[edit]

There is a wealth of information in this article but it is largely undigested, with constant repetition of info. It needs someone familiar with the history to go through it carefully and produce a single narrative. --Ken Gallager (talk) 15:32, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this article is not substantially composed of verbatim copied material, I will be surprised. In addition to obvious signs of being verbatim scanned material (spacing and typos), it contains a "translator's note" from the original source. Go figure.--75.164.155.194 (talk) 02:35, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Datu Piang's father was Chinese and his mother was Moro. He played a major role in the Moro reaction to the Spanish advance on Mindanao in the late 19th century.

A source of problems from Spanish times to the early years of Americans control were the juramentados, Moro swordsmen who attacked and killed aggressors.
