Recentism and synthesis

I'm a little concerned this topic does not have a coherent treatment by sources, and as such is in fuzzy territory with respect to WP:SYNTH and WP:RECENTISM. Giving speeches is the bread and butter task of a political leader, and with increasing profile any speech is going to get routine press coverage. To avoid a RECENTISM problem, the article needs to be built from sources giving speeches coverage retrospectively; and to avoid SYNTHESIS, any commentary about patterns and themes in his speeches needs to be from secondary sources, not from routine coverage. @Vanamonde93: Are the below examples of what you would be referring to? Example references which are retrospective:

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second speech on coronavirus reveals that he is like Nehru. He can win elections, and nothing else.

WP:GNG in this case would mean having SECONDARY sources that provide substantial coverage of Narendra Modi's speeches over all. Without that, we would be making up a topic of our own and writing our own essay on it. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 10:58, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Agree with Kautilya3. Unless there is something notable to discuss about Modi's speeches, this doesn't satisfy GNG and is merely WP:CRUFT. --RegentsPark (comment) 11:05, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Not really, DTM. All of those are still essentially coverage of specific speeches immediately after they occurred. Moreover, two of them are opinion pieces, and therefore not reliable. As Kautilya said, the topic needs to be covered in its entirety. I'm not seeing evidence of that here. At the moment, all the coverage I'm aware of could easily be folded into Public Image of Narendra Modi, which is where I think this ought to be redirected.
