You perhaps think that the S in the UTM code that appears on this article's GeoHack page stands for "south". That is not the case; see File:Utm-zones.jpg. The UTM code 16S 639400 3956607 for this location appears to be correct—a code beginning 16N would put Spencer in the Pacific Ocean to the west of Venezuela.
