Hammerhead

[edit]

I simply made the link go to the character as opposed to the disambiguous Hammerhead. Unrelated I was suprised to see this page, since I was looking for it earlier (9:00 AM). --  Grimbear13 ►Talk  19:02, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cosmic Spider-man

[edit]

Should he be added as a bonus?--Lbrun12415 05:33, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Voice Actors

[edit]

Hey guys, let's try not to put voice actors without a real confirmation (IMDB has been wrong with voice actors before) on here.--SongbirdNova (talk) 17:27, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But they've also been right long before any confirmations by studios. --Spidey104contribs 18:01, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just because you and a website says so, doesn't meen it's true. If Beenox hasn't said so, there's always the chance it's not true, do we want false info on here?--SongbirdNova (talk) 20:08, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Websites are used as references all of the time on Wikipedia. Take a further look at the information you removed; Beenox did confirm this casting on IMDb. I didn't add that information, but I assume good faith about the editor that added it. So that information is reliable and belongs on the page. --Spidey104contribs 20:36, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, and where do you see that Beenox put that info on?--SongbirdNova (Talk)
I don't see it, but I don't have access to IMDb Pro where that sort of information would be found. I just assume good faith in the editor that provided the references that they have IMDb Pro and have access to that material. That information belongs, but it's not worth my time anymore. --Spidey104contribs 14:07, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-added Chris Barnes in the role of Noir, as his involvement was confirmed at WonderCon this year, and Yuri Lowenthal in the role of Amazing Spider-Man, as IMDb Pro lists his involvement as confirmed (and he personally admitted the same at a convention I recently attended). I have added Spider-Man 2099 as the third protagonist, as this was confirmed in a recent press release from Beenox, and changed "Green Goblin" under the villains section to "The Goblin" (as Osborn was never referred to as "Green Goblin" in the Noir universe, and the villains vignette trailer credits him only as "Goblin"). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.160.131.245 (talk) 16:08, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You sure its Yuri Lowenthal voicing Amazing Spider-Man? Because it sounds like Mike Vaughn who previously voiced Spider-Man in Web of Shadows & Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2SilentmanX (talk) 13:44, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I am pretty sure the guy who voiced Spider-Man in Ultimate Alliance 1 was the same guy who voices Raiden in the Metal Gear Series. Quiton Flynn I think.D21Beast —Preceding undated comment added 04:00, 16 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Did Yuri Lowenthal voice Spider-Man in any of the animated series/video-games? I'm asking because his Wikipedia article doesn't contain any references to him doing so. 75.157.125.234 (talk) 01:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just did some research on all of the Spider-Man TV series and video game appearances I could think of and found no evidence of a Yuri Lowenthal. Here's my findings. Someone please shout if I missed a game or TV show.

--Spider-Man in Television-- Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends – Dan Gilvezan, Spider-Man: The Animated Series – Christopher Daniel Barnes, Spider-Man: Unlimited – Rino Romano, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series (MTV) – Neil Patrick Harris, Spectacular Spider-Man – Josh Keaton

--Spider-Man in Video Games-- Spider-Man (2000 for PSX, N64) – Rino Romano, Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro – Rino Romano, X-Men Mutant Academy 2 – Rino Romano, Marvel/Capcom games – Patrick Chilvers, Spider-Man 1,2, & 3 (Based on the Movies) – Tobey Maguire, Ultimate Spider-Man – Sean Marquette, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe – James Arnold Taylor, Spider-Man: Battle for New York – James Arnold Taylor, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Mike Vaughn, Marvel Ultimate Alliance – Quinton Flynn, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 – Ben Diskin, Marvel Super Hero Squad – Josh Keaton

I think the one who voice Amazing is the same as in Web of Shadow does, i heard the voice on stage demo.--ScottKazama (talk) 22:50, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thats Mike Vaughn who is voicing Amazing Spider-Man. He's been voicing Spider-Man in nearly every Spider-Man game. SilentmanX (talk) 18:28, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Uh, NO HE HASN'T! HE only voiced him in web of shadows, where are you getting your info?! D21Beast has all the info on spideys game actors and its all true. plus activision would never cast him as spidey again after the horrible job he did in web of shadows!
But what of Josh Keaton. I know that voice from Spectacular Spider-Man and its definately him as Ultimate Spider-Man

Hey guys, Jim Cummings was never Green Goblin in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, so could someone edit that? Revengeofthenerd2 (talk) 13:07, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It actually doesn't say that. It says that he voiced a villain on Spider-Man: The Animated Series, but it doesn't specify which one.-5- (talk) 18:21, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2099 NOT Confirmed

[edit]

We have not seen any official updates that the 2099 Universe will be featured in the game, so leave it off Wikipedia until such a time occurs. 75.157.78.82 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: It is now. ScottKazama (talk) 06:45, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a source for this announcement? I've yet to find anything.- Finite(ţś_łєğǿŧΐм) spreche 03:25, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Beenox, the game's developer, released screenshots of the character and environments that have since been featured by countless credible media sites. Just conduct a simple Google search and the evidence you will find in abundance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.160.131.245 (talk) 16:49, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Technically speaking, Google should not be the first priority for referencing, as the internet is unfiltered. However, the IGN link for the 2099 sections of the WIki Article should be clear now, as it was revealed at E3. RobbieNewton (talk) 18:22, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Venom and Lizard?

[edit]

When was Venom 2099 confirmed? Sure, there was an image of a symbiote at the end of the 2099 trailer, but who knows what that was about? Maybe it has something to do with the next dimension. Until the next reveal, who knows what the symbiote was. Besides, it looked nothing like Venom 2099. If Venom 2099 and the Lizard are in the game, cite the source that the information came from, 'cause until it's sorced from a reliable source, I'm removing it. 75.157.125.234 (talk) 01:23, 17 June 2010 (UTC) No Venom or Lizard in this game!!! Only Carnage and Black spider suite[reply]

Box Art

[edit]
Unless it has been officially revealed by a reliable source we can't add it, and Amazon isn't a reliable source. We can't just add an image for the sake of it when we have no idea if it actually is a relevant image or not, we can't just take images of Amazon without establishing copy rights, and even if none of these problems existed, you have provided us with no link, so it is not only impossible to add it, we also cannot even see it and have no idea which image you are talking about.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this link for box art? Just thought I might help the article.

Cosmic Spider-Man Version-Exclusive, Iron-Spider Is Not

[edit]

The Cosmic Spider-Man suits are exclusive to the X-Box 360 and PS3 versions. The corroborating information is on the Gamestop pre-order page. Also, the Iron-Spider costume is in the game anyway: you unlock it once you beat the game, and the Amazon pre-order simply unlocks it at the beginning of the game. The Iron-Spider unlock is not version exclusive to the PS3 and X-Box 360; the Wii version has it as well. Check the Amazon pre-order page. 75.157.125.234 (talk) 15:45, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Scorpion 2099 Not Sourced

[edit]

I checked the link that the Scorpion 2099 character was sourced to and it contained no reference to the character at all. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 05:33, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Box Art Faked

[edit]

Is it just me, or is that Symbiote Spider-Man on the box art? If so, I'd say that's grounds for addition to the character list. However, I've seen discussions claiming it's photoshopped, and looking closely, the so-called Symbiote Spider-Man, aside from the eye-patches, looks identical to the silhouette it supposedly replaced. Beenox and Activision haven't confirmed anything yet and the pre-order websites are still using the original cover, so we should use the old cover until the fourth dimension is officially revealed. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 16:45, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, activison confirmed it. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/15/activision-confirms-final-spider-man-shattered-dimensions-cover/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.61.186 (talk) 23:54, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, but if Symbiote Spider-Man was confirmed to be in the game he should be put it the character list. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 06:41, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But the thing is Activison most likely DID photoshop it onto there to mess with us before they reveal the 4th dimension. I mean, look at it. You can count the pixels and its like comparing an HD video to an old VHS tape. Also, the eyes on the mask bleed onto the Noir costume. So many sites assumed that it was photoshopped and confirmed by Activison so the reveal of the 4th dimensions will be that much more surprising.

Whether or not the Symbiote Suit is fake or not will be revealed Wednesday on IGN. However, you are mistaken when you say the symbiote's eyes bleed onto the Noir Suit's mask. It only looks that way because of the way the light reflects off the Noir Suit's mask. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 03:56, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comic Con reveals the cover to be correct. See here. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 19:17, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then Symbiote Spider-Man has been confirmed. I guess all that's left now are the remaining bosses and voice actors, and which universe Symbiote Spider-Man is from. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 19:58, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why Ultimate Spider-Man should wear Black Symbiote Costume

[edit]

Why: - If they met each other in their same outfit. Who will be the real 616 & 1610. - Since 616 Spidey decide wont wear the black suit again. So 1610 Spidey had no choice to use a black suit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ScottKazama (talkcontribs) 12:00, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ever since Web of Shadows they want a Spider-Man that can make full use of the black suit, and since the Ultimate Spider-Man has a black suit that was made by that version's dad instead of an alien they want to take advantage of it, with this Ultimate Spider-Man being an adult instead of a teenager and having full control of it, and the main boss of that universe is the symbiotes and Carnage. SilentmanX (talk) 18:26, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Ultimate Spider-Man is identical to the 616 Spider-Man in terms of costume and powers, so having him in his regular costume is a no-go. Besides, the 1610 symbiote gives Spider-Man powers the 616 symbiote didn't - projecting tentacles and spines, not to mention the psychotic berserker state. That makes the gameplay between the two different enough to warrent including the Ultimate version of Symbiote Spider-Man as a playable character. As for your question about if they include the 616 version of Symbiote Spider-Man as an alternate costume for the Amazing Spider-Man... he may not wear the symbiote itself (which is happily bonded to Mac Gargan in the comics at the moment) but Black Cat made him a synthetic copy that he still wears when he wants to appear more menacing, most recently in the "Spider-Man: Back in Black" arc. It's a possability, but we'll have to wait until the game comes out to see more. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 20:28, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In short, it gives him pretty much the same powers that Black-Suited Spidey had in Web of Shadows. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 21:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 23:14, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The intros for the Ultimate ant 2099 universes have been unvealed. It looks like Madame Web took the symbiote from Venom and gave it back to Peter in the Ultimate universe, which explains how he got it and Carnage can still existas a villain. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 16:48, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Costumes Require More Info

[edit]

There's something that hasn't been made clear with the new costumes: are the new costumes version-exclusive downloads like the Cosmic Spider-Men, or are they early unlocks for stuff already in the game like the Iron Spider-Man pre-order? I'm asking because all the banners for them say "immediate unlock". 75.157.120.15 (talk) 00:35, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Prose or Box?
It had been in prose, but I converted it to a box. It was confusing in prose, so it's easier to understand the information this way. To avoid further fights over this, what does everyone else think? Spidey104contribs 14:55, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I also vote for going for the Box, what with Villain's voices now coming out, and , as of writing, half of them having a previous association with Spider-Man, it may be better for a box. RobbieNewton (talk) 16:52, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Remove the Pig

[edit]

As a cameo character, Spider-Ham is not important and therefore he should be removed. Alternately, Madame Web shows Spiders from a bunch of other universes, among them MC2's Spider-Girl, so if anyone wants to add those cameos as well, then we can keep the "cartoon pig". Otherwise, get rid of him. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 22:26, 25 July 2010 (UTC) Keep the Pig! Spider-Ham has a big cameo when you finish the game. Spoiler alert!! In the middel of the end credits Spider-Ham jumps in the room with Madam-Web and ask:" What did I miss?" ending the credits with "nuff said"[reply]

Costumes Require Less Info

[edit]

Where does it say what costumes belong to which dimension? It doesn't. Only Iron Spider-Man has been confirmed as belonging to the 2099 Universe. It's logical to assume that the Scarlet Spider costume is going to the Amazing Universe and that the Negative Zone costume is going to the Noir Universe, but Mangaverse to Ultimate? Cell shading aside, it makes no sense from a gameplay standpoint because the Ultimate Spider-Man has the Venom Suit on, while the Manga Spider-Man doesn't, meaning their powers are totally different. Until it is officially revealed which costumes are going where, what is currently on the page is speculation and original research, which I know for a fact Wikipedia does not approve of. Therefore, I will take it upon myself to remove it. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 22:41, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PC version confirmed?

[edit]

At San-Diego Comic Con it was said that this game will be on PC also. Here is the link [1] (from 6:30 to 6:35). Is it true or is it just a mistake? --87.110.148.84 (talk) 17:48, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, as far as a Wikipedia source we can't use YouTube, but I'd say if the developers outright mention it in a demo then it's probably true. I'll watch for a reliable source per Wikipedia standards so I can add it to the article. --Teancum (talk) 18:46, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WalMart Preorder

[edit]

You can get preorder at WalMart to get a 20-page comic. That should be added to the article. No news on whether it is version-exclusive or not, but the offer is only available in the USA. Sources of info are the official website and the American WalMart website. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 03:43, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually this should not be included since that would count as fancruft. The information about special costumes from preorders is included only because it is in-game content. Spidey104contribs 20:37, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Pre-order information is often included in the Development section, regardless of what that content is. --Teancum (talk) 21:50, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While it may seem like "fancruft", I have searched the Canadian WalMart website and it contains no mention of the video game, let alone the pre-order, although the American WalMart site doesn't mention the pre-order either. 75.157.120.15 (talk) 01:11, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nevertheless the game's official site mentions Wal-Mart's preorder here. --Teancum (talk) 02:03, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
