Spindle[edit]

Is this the same/How is this differing from the knuckle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steering_knuckle I am currently in the final stages of my master thesis work at a automotive company and even among the employees here there seems to be some confusion as to what is meant by the two words Spindle or Knuckle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.181.101.51 (talk) 15:41, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stub Axle[edit]

Is this what in the UK we would call a 'Stub axle'?--Brunnian (talk) 05:36, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, I think it is the vertical part that carries the stub axle. Biscuittin (talk) 23:06, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"G forces"[edit]

The phrase "forces of over 5g" could be misunderstood. It is apparent from the link that "g" is meant here to be the magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity, that is, about 9.8 meters per second per second, and not the metric unit of the gram, which uses the same symbol. Use of the term "forces" further complicates the situation, since there is now a mixture of units of mass (grams), acceleration (meters per second per second), and force (kilogram-meters per second per second). I shall attempt to rewrite the sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.54.92.215 (talk) 21:40, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
