Which hurricane destroyed Spiral Island?Rob 13:18, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

At http://buildingmyhouse.blogspot.com/2005/11/floating-island-and-house.html they mention Hurricane Emily, but they don't give a source. AxelBoldt 18:18, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Did the cat drown when the hurricane destroyed the island? 128.112.150.230 (talk) 20:31, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Revised article

[edit]

As of late November 2007, this article has been taken over by fans who have turned it into a Q&A magazine-type fluff piece. It should be returned to a real article - the tone is all wrong and the mention of a book which doesn't exist should be removed, as is standard policy - but I strongly suspect from past wikipedia experience that this would produce a long and time-wasting battle with a couple of people who have confused wikipedia with a personal blog - so I will admit defeat in advance. Perhaps somebody else will want to take up the cudgel.

And good luck on building the new island. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 13:13, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I can't stand it ... I gave in and tried wikifying it myself. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 13:48, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Book

[edit]

Was the book released in 2008? If so, shouldn't the article be amended? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.216.101.110 (talk) 20:38, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Besides many copies of the WP article, the only substantial reference I found to the book with Google was on the Sprial Island website itself, where PayPal donors will receive a pre-release section of the book, but refers to July, 2008 as being in the future. The site does include, however, posts as recent as today, but seeing anything, or using the contact form to reach the admin, requires signup. Amazon knows nothing of the book as titled, nor of the supposed author. If I still draw a blank with a little further research, it might be time to be bold! --Eliyahu S Talk 20:31, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Needs Work

[edit]

The opening paragraph alone is full of typos and weird English. --Buddy13 (talk) 05:55, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I removed two sentences that had been added. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 12:29, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
