January 2011[edit]

I've moved the article from "Spirit of America (company)" to "Spirit of America (charity)" and rewritten most of the article, using Daniel Henninger's 2004 and 2001 articles as references.

Here's a paragraph I deleted:

Spirit of America was launched under the auspices of Cyber Century Forum, whose chairman, Diana Lady Dougan, served as Assistant Secretrary of State from 1982 to 1988 in the administration of President Ronald Reagan. Cyber Century's vice president and general council, Tedson J. Meyers is a former Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and Chief of Educational Broadcasting Projects (as well as Assistant to the Director) of the Peace Corps. He was appointed to the non-elected Washington D.C. City Council by President Richard M. Nixon in 1972. [1]

The bit about the launching under the auspices of the CCF is quite true, and kinda interesting. (See this page at the SoA website for details.) The biographical info seems irrelevant and out-of-place in this article. I'm also concerned that all the key links are red ... so I deleted the whole lot for simplicity.

If anyone wants to put the info about "launching under the auspices of the CCF" back, feel free. And I'm sure there are lots of other improvements that can be made to my work ... cheers, CWC 12:50, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
