Fair use rationale for Image:Wdcbadges.jpg
[edit]Image:Wdcbadges.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Not the Nine o'clock News
[edit]Did that sketch really create a detrimental image which had a long-term effect and seriously damaged the game? If it did then some evidence needs to be cited to this effect. Everyone new what darts was like, and the very pubness of it was part of its appeal. StarDelta (talk) 09:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
I've added a citation; it may not be the best one (in terms of reputable source) in the world, but it makes the pointEllwd (talk) 13:31, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Actually having had a look at WP:RS I've reverted it myself.Ellwd (talk) 13:43, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Darts on Television
[edit]The Westward Television darts programmes were a long way from being the first time darts had been seen on TV, the BBC broadcast matches before the war as well as in the 1940s and 1950s. But it may be that the Westward programmes had particular significance, in which case perhaps that needs to be explained.

Dead Link
[edit]Sid Waddels book Bellies and Bullseye is a book that is invaluable to the understanding of the world of darts before the split and after. The Referenced link to information about the book is a deadlink (Ref 6). This blog post highlighting 3 key books darts fans should read covers a more detailed introduction to this https://whichdarts.com/3-amazing-darts-books-that-you-should-read/ Might I suggest readers would benefit?
