History

[edit]

Have the feeling that this article got renamed from "History" instead of getting the bulk of stuff from the San Diego article, as planned. Student7 (talk) 14:18, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not exactly sure what is going on either. 08OceanBeach SD (talk) 02:00, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I moved the old section prior to Susan's edits, so it is probably missing a lot of improvement. But anyway, pre-change. I moved old stuff to bottom which was clearly history and provided a ptr to "Sports Curse." Student7 (talk) 14:36, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Sports in San Diego

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sports in San Diego's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "mlssoccer.com":

  • From United Soccer League: "Colorado Rapids' Pablo Mastroeni ecstatic about USL PRO partnership with Charlotte Independence". mlssoccer.com. Retrieved September 18, 2014.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 14:09, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Surfing

[edit]

San Diego has a rich and notable surf culture, so I am surprised that there are not too many references made to the surf culture of San Diego on here. I'd like to propose that more on surfing be added to this article. --IndustryPlantCooper (talk) 20:33, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
