Who Spearheaded the Push?[edit]

Wasn't the 1125th an integral part of this operation? There is no mention of them in the article and they were the ones that paved the way for the rest of the units to come in behind them.

I am going to do some research and add a section called "Spearhead." Ipunchouthorses (talk) 18:13, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what the 1125th was. Bear in mind that this article describes an offensive by two armies through 5, arguably six spearheads / points of attack (Polish Corps, New Zealand Division, 8th Indian Division, Br 56 Division, US II Corps, US IV Corps). It is necessarily therefore written on a broad scale and very few formations or units below corps and division level are mentioned. 1125th sounds like a battalion and were it to be mentioned then, for balance, many other equivalent units would need to be mentioned. If the 1125th were involved in a notable engagement then I suggest it would probably be more appropriate that a separate detailed article describing the events be created with suitable links to/from this present article.
