Zeitgeist[edit]

I noticed that the term springtime had sometimes been used in the sense of a Zeitgeist, or historical moment, such as in the expression springtime of Vatican II. ADM (talk) 22:32, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the word is used in the metaphorical sense of "an early stage in the development (of)" or "the flowering (of)", and that meaning could certainly be added to the Wiktionary entry for springtime. But I can't imagine anyone searching the term springtime and expecting to end up at the Zeitgeist article. The two terms aren't really congruent.--ShelfSkewed Talk 03:46, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
