Thats not a good objection to a critique from such a prominent historian. So the question that you ought to ask is "why can't we have his critique of Raghavan here?" Its certainly more worthy, judging by the number of cites on Google Scholar, than most of the others who have been cited on the article. Whats the motive behind removing the scholarly criticism? First off, let me say that I mixed up this Perry Anderson with somebody else. I think my objection was suitably answered by Obaid Raza.
