Discussion

[edit]

In what way is this particular Wind Farm notable to the extent that it deserves an article? It is of modest size compared with some in the word that do not have individual articles. DieSwartzPunkt (talk) 15:21, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now proposed for deletion. Otherwise every similar or larger project would qualify for its own article. DieSwartzPunkt (talk) 14:26, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think every $300M project deserves an article. We're not short on bytes. Look at Rosside for how our "every settlement is notable" policy has led us to undeleteable articles on every road junction with a house on it. Notability guidance for shopping malls or train stations would certainly include projects that are much smaller than this. We also have power stations a good bit smaller than the n-hundred MW scale. This might not be a big project in windfarm terms, but it's bigger than anything I'll ever construct and I'm sure that residents near St Joseph consider it a major impact on their lives. I note that Rosside has been nominated for deletion, but that aside, the discussion is providing a few interesting insights on what is notable and what is not. Maybe I set my bar a little high - or then again, maybe not. DieSwartzPunkt (talk) 16:33, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
