Note on sources[edit]

This is still a work in progress.

Since the church just closed, the usual "church history" on the church website is not available, but a geneological website (not our usual reliable source) says that they've copied it. I've only cited a couple of facts from there and should be able to find duplicate sources for the entire thing, perhaps at the nearby Lutheran Seminary. Early Lutheran history in Philadelphia is - so far - fascinating, but confusing, but I do have some sources. A warning - there is another very early St. Michael's Lutheran in Philadelphia proper which some of the sources might be confusing.

I found what looks like a more complete version (11 pages), nicely formatted at
