Groundbreaking date[edit]

@Giantflightlessbirds: I had not put 1919 as the date of groundbreaking as it was when the first sod was turned at a different (unnamed) site. Don't you think it's misleading to include that date and imply the current site was being built on from 1919 until 1935? As per Heritage NZ: "On 19 July 1919 the first sod was turned on the proposed site of the new church but financial difficulties meant that St Andrew's Scots Memorial Church was not built until sixteen years later when it was erected on another site." Oh my mistake! That groundbreaking date was in Wikidata, I just assumed it was on the same site. How would one convey the move to a different site? Feel free to revert.—Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 20:53, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well I should probably describe it in the text so at least people have a context for whatever date is in the infobox, but when I wrote it I was trying not to repeat too much from the NZHPT listing. I'll sort it out and try to find appropriate qualifiers for the Wikidata statements. DrThneed (talk) 01:45, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
