There seems to be an error with Historic Environment Scotland's listing on the church. It says that the church was built in 1883. However, Stirling Council, their archives and the Scotland's Churches Trust, all say that the church was built from 1904 and 1905 and crucially give a precise date for the laying of the foundation stone. The local newspaper from the time (cited in the article) even describes the ceremony and lists who was there. It was built from 1904 to 1905. The Dictionary of Scottish Architects describes the confusion of the dates. No idea why there was this confusion. Perhaps Pugin designed it in the 1880s, and they used those designs in the 1900s? It would not the first time something like that happened. Cardofk (talk) 14:54, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
