This article is written in British English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Well done for creating articles on St Michael's, St Peter's and St Stephen's churches; a gap that previously badly needed filling.
However, without wishing to appear ungracious, the preferred UK English style in wikipedia is no full stop in the abbreviation of Saint - hence St Michael's, St Peter's, St Stephen's and St Albans, rather than St. Michael's, St. Peter's, St. Stephen's and St. Albans (indeed, for a long time until Dec 31 2006, the main St Albans article began: "St Albans (thus spelt, no apostrophe or dot) ...").
To achieve consistency with the other St Albans articles I propose to remove the redundant full stops. I hope this is OK. 195.217.52.13014:16, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
