This article needs an overhaul[edit]

References 1-6 are invalid links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.141.203.57 (talk) 03:19, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I flagged them.

Generally the remaining links are to minor parts of the aftermath. Is a blog a reliable source? I won't query whether Piers Morgan is. The guts of the story has no reliable-source support at all as it currently stands.

In addition, the article seems to have been written in the midst of some "Free Stacey" campaign. She's out now. The story should be retold. The analysis of the appeals is overblown, ill-phrased, amateurish, and seems to editorialize. Appeals courts do not find in favor of a trial judge; they can grant an appeal, deny, affirm a lower court's judgment, remand the case, etc. Really, the whole appeal process here should be described in a very summary fashion; this isn't a law review article.

Lannert's case appeared before three governors. This seems noteworthy but isn't mentioned. Does it really matter whether there were "numerous" Free Stacey websites? That doesn't really certify any true level of support. In any event, at this point, that whole assertion could be removed.

The various media appearances should be in their own area. It's been on (at least) one Investigation Discovery series.216.165.224.81 (talk) 01:28, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found a few good replacement links, but after a meaningless reversion by something called x-bot, I feel uninclined to do any more work on the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.165.224.81 (talk) 01:53, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 00:58, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
